The DBSP is the independent expert knowledge base and forum for the domestic building services industry across the UK. The DBSP operates in compliance with all applicable UK Legislation and Regulations, and is committed to safeguarding the personal data of all customers and business contacts.
The DBSP operates under the latest Data Protection Regulations and will keep this Policy under review at appropriate intervals.

DBSP Privacy Policy
Personal data collected, controlled and processed by the DBSP may be used for the following purposes:
- To provide information and links to third parties for the payment, processing and delivery of DBSP products;
- To communicate with professional and trade bodies who have an interest in the Domestic Building Services field;
- To communicate with practitioners working on the design, installation and maintenance of domestic building services;
- To administer and enhance the DBSP web site and service.
We hold your information only for as long as is necessary for each purpose we use it for. For example, if you register an interest in a DBSP Working Group or Forum activity we will only circulate your contact details to the other members of that group or activity with your express permission, and we will delete the database of contacts for that group or activity when the specified project is completed unless you tell us not to delete your details.
The DBSP does not disclose personal data to third parties other than to process and deliver orders for DBSP publications. Financial data and other personal data relating to the purchase, delivery and invoicing of DBSP products is currently collected, controlled and processed by The Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE).
This DBSP privacy policy applies solely to the personal data collected by the DBSP and does not apply to third party websites and services that are not under our direct control. We cannot be held responsible for the privacy policies of third party websites and we advise users to read the privacy policies of other websites before registering any personal data.
You have the right to ask us, in writing, for a copy of all the personal data held about you a copy of which will be sent to you as soon as possible and this will not be later than 30 days after your request.
If you would like to access your personal data held by us, or at any time you want to update or amend your personal data or preferences, please apply in writing to the address at the end of this document. Verification, updating or amendment of personal data will take place within 28 days of receipt of your request.
We do not use ‘cookies’ on our web site to track web site users.
This Policy will be updated from time to time to reflect the latest information on how we collect, control and process your data.
